Report from Techtextil show in Frankfurt, Germany

Dave Heiss with Newton at Textile Germany May 2015

Once again the Techtextil show in Frankfurt, Germany lived up to its reputation as a major textile industry event.  Expanded to four days for 2015, the additional day turned out to be an excellent time to revisit parties who had been too busy to talk or who had asked for more information when contacted earlier.  Thermetrics again shared space in the Mesdan S.p.A. stand, and our contribution to the Mesdan Lab display was a SGHP-8.2 sweating hotplate and an advanced 26-zone sweating “Newton” thermal manikin system.

Both items generated high levels of interest, and over the next few months Mesdan and Thermetrics will follow up on the many conversations that began at Techtextil.  Where these conversations will lead is not yet known, but what I do know is that the people I had the pleasure to meet during Techtextil support my belief that the textile industry is filled with smart, friendly, dedicated, and forward-thinking folks who are eager to move the industry forward.  The future was on display at Techtexil, and, from what I saw, it looks good.
