Thermetrics and TAI have co-developed a virtual TAITherm model for the HVAC and Newton manikin systems, which maps measurements from the manikin’s sensors to corresponding surface nodes on the software’s virtual human model and computes the thermal state of a simulated human. This exclusive manikin-software coupling combines boundary condition measurements from the HVAC or Newton manikin with user-defined parameters for clothing, metabolic rate, and seating conditions (for automotive applications).  The resulting data output is a time-history of the experiment which includes all TAITherm thermal comfort and thermal sensation metrics - including local and global comfort/sensation, PMV, PPD, Teq, and DTS. 

The Thermetrics HVAC Manikin system includes this advanced human comfort prediction capability, at no charge for licensed TAITherm users. For Newton users this same capability is available via the exclusive ManikinPC software option.
